The Prison Wall

There's a prison wall that you can't see,
A wall that's not just between you and me,
The wall that keeps out and keeps in,
But wonder how this silence seeps in,
Not solitude but loneliness abounds,
The wall still stands its grounds,
My silent screams shatter it no more,
Not a single crack in its sturdy armor,
A wall that I have to break or scale,
A soulful song or a gallant tale.

Beautiful! Subtle and poignant at the same time. :)
